Chrome ponies on cobra anniversary rims

So I bought my welds have them on the car and can't stand how the car handles. I'm going to buy new rims either chrome ponies or the ann cobras. If anyone has pics to share of the cobras post them. Will the 17x10 fit with 3" tailpipes? I'm on the fence these rims are growing on me but im not 100%. Quad shock is already gone!!

Any one looking for new welds w/ tires n a set of extra new et streets with inner tubes pm me.

No chrome ponies, but here's a pick I took of my chrome 10th Anniversary Cobra's. They're 17x9 with 255/40/17's up front and 17x10 with 275/40/17's in the rear.

It would help to have a pic of the car they are going on. Lots of factors like color/body/them go a lot into picking a wheel.

I have a red 92 notch w/ 4" hood, Im not sure if the pic is going to come out. It looks awesome with the welds its just not what I want. @ gearbanger rims look good, what did you have to do to get the rears in ? You still have tail pipes so it cant be to tight

Personally I'd go with a silver or black rim. I't going to flow better with the overall look of the car.

Nothing much really. I tried flipping the quad shocks and ended up snapping off the bolts where they mounted to the chassis, so I removed them altogether (no wheel hop what so ever.) I loosened my exhaust and pulled it towards the center a little bit. Otherwise, I've got no clearance issues. They sure do look good from behind though….

I am getting some rubbing on the front wheels however that makes itself really apparent when I turn into a dip in the road, or off the street into an uphill driveway. Looks like the inside of the wheels is making slight contact with the lower front control arm. So plan on a little "massaging" if you go with the 9" wide wheels in the front....or just go with 8" and not worry about it.
