I need a new clutch bad...the current one isnt long for this world. I have 300 to spend...and i think i have narrowed it down to a spec stage II, Centerforce DF, or CF II. I think i can get all of those for right around 3 bills with the CFII a little cheaper. What is everyone's experiences with these clutches. The car will see a fair bit of time at the track, a couple times a year. Which of these has the best pedal feel...i dont want a light switch but at the same time i hate spungyness! Let me know what u guys think my mods are in my sig. The car will likely be gettin a blower in the next two years and i realize a clitch of this type will most likely result in a blown stock tranny....but will any of these clutches work with a T5Z or TKO? thanks later!

IMHO I don't think when your talking the horsepower you have and more I would go with a center force dual friction clutch. I loved mine and there is no spongy in it either. Its either in or out of gear can't ride the clutch to much unless your trying it. Holds and holds even when it gets hot. 20 passes later mine was working like it did on the first pass 2.5 hours ago.

Thats exactly what i want...i think i want something a little overkill for the application now but with the blower and a set of heads it would be just perfect! I have heard the spec clutches have very good wear characteristics!? anyone else

i got the centerforce df and it rocks, i can squeel em good on a halfway decent acceleration, and it bites really good after long usage. i road race with it and after a good 15 minutes of high rpm, and lots of shifting between 2-3-4, i have to say it is a really good clutch. i have over 20g on mine and its still kickin like the day i got it.

Hows the pedal feel with the DF clutch? Engaement? How heavy is it? It sounds like either the spec stage II or the CF DF would both be ideal. I dont know if the DF will be way overkill? Thats for all the help guys...i have a big decision to make...oh yea how many people have had chattering problems with any of these clutches...was it real bad duruing the break in period?

its not to bad. i like it...personal pref. its not overkill....not by a long shot. no chatter on mine...im got 350hp....500mi break in no heavy power use...just normal driving, vary the rpm. though...just take a road trip or something

I have a Centerforce Stage II in my daily driver with a very similar combo as yours. Holds up just fine and the pedal feel (lightness) is lighter than the King Cobra. It is my favorite clutch of the 4 I have had.

I have also driven a CF DF and it is just a big more on/offish. If your getting a blower get the dual friction. If your staying "as is"...get the CF Stage II.

No sponge on either IMO.

I stay away from Specs...don't like chatter and the on/offishness that they give off:nonono:

To break-in a clutch I just drive "normally" and no WOT runs underload. Do some stop and go and highway. I would like for the clutch to go thru a couple heat cycles during that 500miles, so not just straight driving and straight heat. Just my opinion...
