Did you get a Ford/Motorcraft tps, or a different brand? Is the electrical connector plugged in all the way? And no offense, are you sure you replaced the tps? Here's a photo of one from our cars:

Oh, and if anyone mentions that you should adjust the voltage, you can't do that on our cars. The computer reads in the base voltage and uses it as it's "closed" setting. Fox body Mustangs didn't do that, and did need to have the voltage adjusted.

What was its base reading before and what is it now. If for instance you have an open in the wiring, the old TPS was probably fine.
