OK guys/gals, I have a 1990 306 with a TFS stage 1 cam, TFS street heat intake, Bassani E/L headers straight pipes w/ IMCO mufflers. My heads are stock E7's and so is the TB and MAF. Right now I don't have any extra money to drop into performance upgrades but I plan to find a set of GT40 heads off an Explorer this winter for it. I already have a valve seal leaking a little so they gotta come off anyways. With this combo how much HP will I be looking at? I'm not looking to do any racing in this car but use it as DD at times and to just cruise in but like every guy out there, the extra power is nice! So anyone got any guesses on HP numbers with the GT40's and stock MAF and TB? Also, are there any MAF/TB's that are bigger and better than our stockers that I can get off an Explorer or something of the sorts? LIke I said, being I'm not gonna be running this this I cannot justify the price of new ones.
BTW, all the current upgrades on the car already were done by the previous owner. The engine has been bored out to a 306 but I have no idea if they are OEM pistons or aftermarket so just assume OEM. Thanks!
