I just figured that out! Now if I could sand off the old finish and get a redoux.Kind of a running theme. Wouldn't you say?
We are antique. Our cars are antique
I don't know if you read or not but with your forced downtime maybe try a book called "Old Mans War". I laughed.Yeah Yeah. I know. I am jealous of my car. We should be refurbishable too!
No. I had them pull them off when it got painted. Then brought them to a polishing guy WAY out in the sticks. Took about a month to get them back and some serious $. But they are perfect. And Stainless. Who would have thought that? This was done on the car?
DUDE!Every time I see Enzio posts I think I'm going to get that centerfold shot. Then alass nothing.
What a clear shot from a nice camera. Now imagine a black, gorgeous Mustang ll in the pictureCleaned the parts and painted them. Humidity is so high they won't dry. Some are still hanging from the tree.![]()
Got the busted bolt out.Ball joints usually only cause a pull if they are really loose. Have you checked them for play? I can't move them. How about tie rods? The outers look fine. I have put more inner tie rods on II's then outers. The Mach I has the right control arm shoved back. They just bolt tight and if not tight enough can shift. By shift do you mean they'll move in or out? Wouldn't I be able to move something to see what side has an issue? Are the lower control arm bushings okay? Both sides uppers and lowers look good. I replaced them on Christine, had it aligned. I was getting a noise from that side and tightened the right side. It needs another alignment.
If you cannot find anything try swapping tires from right front to left front. Tires can occasionally cause a pull. Have you checked the rear end? Rear brakes can cause a pull. If one side is adjusted too tight or there is a fluid leak. Rear Brakes are good. No fluid leaks.
Did it have an alignment after the restoration? No and it drove fine. Did they pull anything off the front or rear suspension? No.
