Computer question

Hello everyone. I'm new to the site. I have a question and was hoping someone on here and answer it for me. I am converting my 88GT to mass air and was wondering if an a9t would work. The guy says its out of a 93 saleen and is alrdy programmed for 24lb injectors. Will this comuter be ok?

I also was wondering if keeping it Speed Density would be ok while running an FRPP x-cam? A friend of mine said it would "idle wonder" and would be very hard to tune. Is he right? That is the reson I am considering going to mass air.

Yes your friend is right its not going to want to idle correctly on the x-cam you would have to choose a more SD friendly cam .. there are good SD cams out there !! I just installed a nx264 cam (not the best but i got a good deal on it) , ported intake , ported heads on my 88 SD car.

I would really like to go with mass air tho. Will the a9t computer work? What car did the a9t come from?

A9T 5.0 89-93 Mustang MAF / Auto .

I dont know what he means when he says programmed for 24lb injectors since you get a calibrated maf for that.... Im not a expert on mass air computers.

saleen maybe saleen burnt chip in it he sounds like he know but evry one thinks the ecu will work good luck

An auto computer WILL work in a 5 speed but a 5 speed computer WILL NOT work in an auto, so you should be fine.
