I was playing football today after work (so they tell me, lol), and apparently I hit my head pretty good. I just remember going to make a tackle, but the ground was super slick from all the rain we had last night. Even with my cleats, I kinda spun off the guy, and went down backwards right on the back/top of my head. All I remember is running at him, and then I remember laying face down on the ground. They say I was lying there for a good 2 minutes or so. When I came to, I had no idea where I was, what I was doing, and I thought it was sunday. Then I couldn't figure out who was on my team, and I kept having weird flashbacks of events in my life that never actually happened. It's not my first concussion, but the last time at least I was just straight unconscious for 30 minutes, lol. My head is pounding so hard right now, it feels like it's gonna explode.

You're not kidding. Concussions are not something to mess around. The real term for a concussion is a brain bruise. You should have someone watch overnight...this is when you're most vulnerable to post-concussion syndrome.

Ouch.. that sucks. Football will do that to you, though. A few years ago I was playing tackle football in an indoor soccer field (first mistake) and was running the ball to make a touchdown when I slid off of the guy trying to tackle me. I landed on my shoulder (which is still not right), and slid head first into the advertising boards...But I scored the touchdown!

Get well!

J/K man. Get better soon.

That reminds me of one of the games we played a few months ago. We play at a public park, and on this particular day, they had soccer goals set up on the football field. One of the guys on my team ran into the endzone and turned around to catch the pass. Well he caught it, but he was running backwards and ran right into the soccer goal. His head hit the post and he just went face first into the ground. He got up and was like, WOOOOOH!!!!!!!!!!!" lmao

Nice try Justin, that green mustang isn't even in my driveway, it's at my dad's shop until I can get a new alternator and cable for it. Good try though! lol

Sheesh Chris....hope that goes well, and I second the opinion to have someone watch you over night.

By the way, don't forget to pay me back that 6000 dollars you borrowed from me yesterday...

Chris, Glad to hear that it sounds like you are alright. Be careful man - concussions can make you do funny things and become forgetful.

Chris,... dude my last concussion was from getting flatbacked after a mid air collision. I caught the ball and my head bounced off the ground 4 times. I only remember the first one.
I went a few days ago and played with some friends we had a few girls with us so we played two-hand touch.
I should have had no problem but got rushed one time and instead of throwing i tried to run. Well on a high school football feild in tennis shoes=leg went one way body went the other so now i have a painful and annoying PULLED GROIN.
Its not fun trying to ice this injury.

Are you just saying you have a cc or did you actually go see a doc who said you have one? If not, you should get checked out if you haven't already. I hope you are ok and feel better man.

I hear massaging is best for such injuries. See above.

i had a good one once. i was at the bmx track with my bike, friends tell me my chain snapped when im approaching the first jump, and i lunge forward, over my bars and smack my head into the jump. This dirt is solid as concrete too. so the next thing i remember, im sitting at home my kitchen table. friends tell me i got up right after the crash, and was walking around and stuff. My dad had to come pick me up, and i didnt remember any part of the 30 min ride home. turns out i asked what happened almost 30 times. it was odd ****, im surprised my lights never went out, yet i cant remember a good hour of it.
