For some reason this car looks familiar. It may have been posted before.... But here's a Ghia in Dallas, Ga, asking $10k.

Facebook

www.facebook.com

Seller's Description

1978 Ford Mustang 2nd generation What’s been done to the vehicle: New radiator, carburetor, starter, tires, battery, and was painted June of 2020. I have also recently replaced the radio and both door speakers and added a giant subwoofer in the trunk, I did all the wiring myself and all wires are for the most part hidden but are secured. Car does not make any annoying vibrating noises when playing music too. If you do not like the subwoofer I will remove it! About the vehicle: This vehicle is a daily driver and gets pretty good gas mileage, also just detailed the entire car last week. Vehicle is in great condition with factory A/C and heat and it works amazing!

There are more pics in the ad, I just pulled what I thought was relevant. Doesn't list the engine, but I think it's a fair guess that it's a 4 cylinder since he said something about good mileage in the ad.

Yeah, didn't the V8s have a higher speedometer or something? I could be wrong.

That blue interior is kinda polarizing with the white exterior.

This seems like a nice, clean coupe. I forgot how understated these were. Never saw too many regular coupes in person when I was "in the scene"...it was usually always Ghias or some variant of hatchback.

All speedos were 120mph till 77 when feds mandated 80 mph speedo due to 55 mph speed limits after the oil crisis. Engine doesn't matter.

Here's a new ad in Glenville/Vidalia, Georgia. They're asking $700.

Facebook

www.facebook.com

Seller's Description

77 Mustang II for sale. I bought the car as a project, never could find time to work on it. Sold as a roller. Motor is not for sale, but has 5.0 motor mounts. Vehicle comes with another original back hatch and back glass. Aswell as driveshaft. Located in Glenville, GA. Foxbody is not mine and is not for sale.

(It's too bad I'm in the position I'm currently in, otherwise I'd be tempted to go snatch this one up! Looks like a good candidate, otherwise it looks like there are a number of parts I could use for my own...)

I went to message the guy and the listing was already gone. I guess it sold quickly (at that price, it should have).

Too bad really, I'd have parted out ESP/HRL to build that Cobra right.

Here's another in Owensboro, Kentucky. Asking price isn't listed, just make an offer.

Facebook

www.facebook.com

Seller's Description

I have a 1976 Mustang II with the original 2.3 4cyl. With an automatic C4 transmission. She isn’t perfect but she does run and drive. (Was my daily for a few months last year). She has some odds and ends that need fixing. It currently has manual brakes (brake booster has been sent off to get rebuilt, waiting to get back). The windshield wipers don’t work(bought a new wiper motor and didn’t help). A few of the gauges don’t work but I have new ones in the trunk. Make me an offer.

Engine bay needs some work but yeah...The louver is the kind with the hinge at the top so you can lift it to clean the window.

Seller's Description

Have driven twice. It's a fun little car, bought it as a project needs a lot of work. She's a rust bucket and not a beauty queen by no means but would make a great resto for someone with the time time on their hands which I don't have. I have put new tires, and a new master cylinder on it. It needs a booster to stop it I believe and a starter relay to crank it again. Has to to be started with the silonoid. I have the key it just won't start with it. 1500 obo

I've paid less for more... but if it wasn't for the rot in the right rear quarter panel I'd be intrigued.

If he dropped the one and had either a clean title or a registration and bill of sale I might be tempted to go to Bama and get it... But I don't really have somewhere to park it at the moment.
