Oh Jesus Christ.

It's in primer, with heavy, ugly, Chinesium wheels, with no air conditioning, no proof that it's a real Cobra, and the guy thinks his .030" overbored 351 is a stroker?

When did the crackpipe-loving crowd move from fox bodies to IIs???

I mean, for half that price I'd be all about it. Replace the way too big and heavy wheels and you've got the rolling personification of this:

This isn't the usual ad that I typically share, but it should be of interest to this group specifically.

Here we have a 302/c4 combo for sale for $200. By the looks of it, it's either a boat anchor or a rebuild candidate at best, but that's not the point of interest. It comes with a II oil pan, presumably an oil pick up for said pan, and a pair of motor mounts. For $200 I'd think that someone could buy just that stuff, give them a quick refurb, and probably make some money. Here's the ad if anyone is interested:

II bellhousings do not have those ribs at the top. Our bells have a sloped shaped vs the sudden curve of this one. The starter looks like it's pretty far away from the oil pan. Our starters sit tight against the pan. When I used a truck pan I had to smash the pan round at the starter.

I believe it's a II pan but not a II trans. Just as the posting indicates.

Ok, so this isn't a II. Hell, it's not even a Mustang! But my brother in law forwarded this to me. As some of you may already know, I also have a 55 Chevy 150 model 2 door wagon that my dad left to me when he passed. It's in pretty sad shape and I would explore the possibility of replacing the car with another that isn't so far gone when I'm ready to get started on it. This one, from first impression, could be a suitable replacement - and at a fairly reasonable price! :D

Now, the reason I'm sharing here - if you look at this picture's background, you'll see a white II. I wonder if he'd part ways with that too.... :chin

On a side note that's somewhat related - I've been toying with the idea of parting ways with my Cobra and GT so I can think about starting on the wagon. The longer I go without any of them the more I'm regretting not doing anything with them. Unfortunately current circumstances dictate those conditions which doesn't make me feel any better about any of it.... :(

That 55 is back in Iowa. Like you said, we all need to get our situations mo bettah! I'd love to bring it home as I'll be up there in 2 weeks anyway, I just don't have the space for a 4th car right now. It looks like it would be a good replacement for the car my dad left me, it's definitely seen better days! Then again, I'm sure I'll have seen better days when I'm near my 70s too.... Lol
