This car is AWESOME in the snow. I don't even have snow tires on it...just all-seasons. I spent the morning just driving up and down unplowed roads and doing a few AWD donuts. Since i don't have any good pics of it, i took a few today
Man, that is one sharp looking sedan. You did the right thing getting the G35, and keeping the LX. I will be back for the snow next year, hopefully with a jeep, but definitely with my LX. Thanks for posting pics of what it's like back home. Gets boring sometimes when it barely rains out here.
I wasn't. Wasn't even really a true donut. More like just kicking the rear out and holding it in a short drift for half a circle .
I wasn't going too crazy...just a couple drift slides and I called it a day. I try not to be "too" hard on my cars. Since it was unplowed slick snow...i figured a slide or two wouldn't be too bad.
Looking good Mike... I LOVE the black with the silver window trim and tint, classy looking on the cars that have it!!!
The only thing I found that stopped my Audi was when the snow got too high. Anything where the car tries to push through and things got tough. Other than that, the AWD sedans are amazing in bad weather!
Moonroof open in the snow, been there, done that, and it got stuck for 6 months after (Jeep GC limited)!!!
haha...youre doing better than me. ive been slipping and sliding all over the place in my 5.0 and have gotten stuck to the point of needing to dig it out twice. it also looks like total CRAP right now
Whys the moon roof open? Smoking blunts while driving?
So, they have a snow day cause they wana keep people off the road. You figure "screw it" and go driving for the pure fun of it. I knew I liked you for some reason!
Haha yeah the moonroof was only popped up like that because it was sleeting. If it wasn't..i would have had it completely open
I get anxiety in a closed up car. I need a window cracked or the moonroof up at all times. Feeling fresh air calms me. It was worse after i tinted the windows. WHen i had the Mustang, the driver's window would be 1/2 way down at all times..no matter if it was 10 degrees out or 110 degrees. So it's just my thing i guess.
I have yet to find a situation where the car gets stuck. I've driven up hills with unplowed snow and it does fine. Granted, i know ground clearance isn't on my side and i'm not going to try to push through a foot or more of unplowed snow.
Nice InfinityIn Chicago, where we spent like 3 years without snow, we have our second straight year of record snow, something like 43 inches so far, and its still January! Mustang will never see it again, unless the garage is burning- and the best donuts are with plowed, unsalted, but driven on snowpack(I hear)
We just got our first real snow fall of the season in St Louis, so far this winter has been better than last years, it would snow every Monday or Tuesday like clockwork.
