Okay, so I was thinkin' about this earlier.

I was runnin' on 1/4th tank, and heading home. I was going to use cruise control, but I'm wondering which is more fuel efficient? Is there even a difference? I dunno, hook me up with some answers.

If you know what you're doing then you'll do a better job than the computer because you can modulate the throttle on hills and down hills to speed up or slow down and maintain low fuel consumption.

I pretty much agree. If you know what your doing and the powerband of your car well. You can do a better job. But probably only yield a small 1-3 mpg difference. Turn your AC off helps. Close your windows helps.

Car's computer if in OD could lug your car up a hill.

I would say if you are the type of person who fluctuates the throttle (I've seen a lot of people do that) then CC might help. Otherwise, you are probably better off controlling it yourself. Personally, I dont do it for gas mileage, I do it because my foot gets tired after 40 miles or so.
