Damn I miss Motor City Online...

:( Although I have my fun 5.0 notch to drive around now, I miss this game I played 24/7 (literally). My freshman year in high school (4 yrs ago), I played this game constantly, it was amazing. I bring this up because I miss it so much. Who else played EA motor city online on here and hey if you have pics of your cars show em' up. I've seen these threads years ago but let's see who has these pics still. What an awesome game that was...

lol, wow. I havent even talked about this game for years. What a wicked game it was, I even was a beta tester for it. I loved racing for pinks when I first started the game, won 99 cars :D The only thing I didnt like was teh fact that by the end of the game, everything cost 30 million dollars. lol

You guys should check out Test Drive Unlimited. Its coming out in a month and its going to be awsome.

I am going to play the PC version and I am starting a car club called "Detroit Muscle".

Let me know if you guys are going to play and you got a spot! Its not as in depth as MCO from a parts perspective. Like instead of choosing which intake your going to put in there are different "level packages" that you can put in.

It does not have a monthly fee and will have monthly updates. Check it out.

BEST GAME ever made, nothing will ever compare, NOTHING, test drive unlimited will not compare, I was one of those kids who joined a club and the leader gave me like a million dollars, so I built the sickest car, went to the auctions to try and find some nice cars. The racing in that game was so fun, especially with a steering wheel.

It started getting kinda dumb when they put the ecplise and supra in it, but I still loved it.

i remember when it came out but we never had a nice enough computor to get the game lol. why'd they get rid of it in the first place. couldn't you like buy new carburators and other crazy **** like that

hemi fan it dont work.

so what was this game? like a really cool racing game?
Yep, an online community. You could buy cars, buy almost every little engine part. You could buy cams, intakes, heads, carbs, EFI, supercharger, nitrous, blocks, all kinds of ****. You could buy all suspension components, tires, wheels, all that stuff. You could paint your car and add tint to the windows. There were rare parts and parts would actually get wear on them and would only last a certain amount of miles before they needed replaced. There were chat rooms and auctions. It was the best and EA stopped the online support for the game, stopping the game completely. EA made a great game and killed it. :nonono:

I never played, but those screen shots look rough... Maybe the old pixelated playstationesque graphics are to blame also...

If Polyphony Digital can get a developed online support network for GT5 then you might be able to have fun again.

GT5 will be beautiful if it has good online support. :nice:

it wasent about the graphics, ill admit the graphics werent good, but if you ever played the game, youd be like us hoping that maybe one day theyll bring it back.
