silly question, but did you disconnect the battery when making the induction change so that the computer can re-learn your new set up?

yeah, before I left for the track. 45 mile drive. I let it idle for a few minutes before driving. A few miles before the track I notice a hanging idle and a -rough- funky idle. So I reset it again at the track.

I'm going to make a thread about it, with video.

Oh, another user on StangNet made a thread and said it fixed itself after a few days but I don't know about that, I drove 45 miles to the track and it seems -really- bizarre. I'll post the vid and see if he had the same idle.

Hey JonJon, from what I read and experienced myself, the idle should settle down after about a week. Shouldn't be that bad though...? Mine just hung at 1200-1300 when coming to a stop, but then settled down after a couple seconds. Mildly annoying, but then it went away. Computer was reset via a disconn of the batt for about 2 hours while induction parts were installed. Works like stock now...hangs just slightly when coming to a stop with the A/C on...but it's very, very minimal. Not sure if the SCT chip has any bearing on this, but that's what I've got.
Appreciate your honesty, JonJon. ("Gotta get better at driving and not use Kuhmo's") I haven't even taken mine to the track...a little intimidated, nervous, but I imagine all that goes away after running a couple times. I got a bud at work who goes to the track nearly every week...need to hook up with him and just take the plunge. But then my wish list will get even longer...UCAs, LCAs, DRs, and my garage would quickly get filled with needless parts, in an attempt to trim the fat...things like rear seat, pass seat, spare tire, etc. My wife would kill me, or join me in her 01...not sure which?!?!

Gotcha, well that's a bummer. Hope it turns out to be something simple.

On another note, if you decide to take the plunge and get Drag Radials to eliminate your street tire blues . . . Careful with em'! Given your bolt ons, slapping a pair of sticky D/Rs on will surely speed up the inevitible -- snapped axle(s)! I'm living proof . . . snapped both at the line last time out to the track. This also trashed the stock carrier.

I wouldn't worry too much about snapping an axle on drag radials. I ran E/T streets on my stock axles with launches at 4000RPM and didn't have a problem the whole season. I was also running 4.10's for gears with my 5-speed. My power was 260 rwhp and 297 rwtq.
