Is there a difference in these curves on sd and maf engines?Mine is sd and it pulls really strong above 2500 rpm's,not a whole lot under that.Is this normal or is just my motor?I don't have a lot of mods, just the basics and I will be putin a cobra or edelbrock intake on soon.

You will not notice a difference if all you were to do is switch over to MAF with no other mods. If switching over to a stock 88 MAF system, you'd actually end up loosing between 3 and 5 HP due to the additional inlet restriction. Converting to mass air just for the sake of converting only accomplishes the spending of money that doesn't require spending.

On your coming intake swap.... That is not reason enough to warrant swapping to mass air. SD will run fine on either of those intakes. Save your mass air conversion money for when you aquire a combination that requires it. When you do... you will likely discover that a stock conversion it less than what you will require in performance for your mods.
