Do I need CC plates?

So, I still haven't decided on what springs I'm going to go with(ya I'm the guy who just posted about what springs to get ) I Initially wanted the FFRP C springs, but it seemed like the drop varied too much on everyone's stang; so I'm leaning towards the H&R SuperSports, but we will see...But, either way I might need CC plates on whatever set up I decide on...

My question is, if I can't get my aftermarket spring/shock set up to align with the stock cc plates, will I HAVE to get CC plates? Like, is there no way around it? is it just, "The rule of lowering a mustang to low"or is there something else (Cheaper) that I can do to align it?

The reason I'm asking is, if I have to get the CC plates($200) then it is going to have a major impact on my wallet and limiting some lowering springs that I want to run..

And this is kind of a general question for all the mustang noobs, on whether they have so throw out the extra cash for the CC plates; or is there some cheaper way around it?

you can get some 18mm cam bolts for $40 to correct your camber. the caster will still not be adjustable though.

PM me, i have about 10 sets of the cam bolts laying around the shop

Any thing lower than the Eibach pro kit needs CC plates.
If you want lower than this.....( nothing but springs ) no cc plates or alighnment.

So, the 18mm will fix my camber, even if I go w/ supersports, sportlines, etc? If so, then this is VERY good news..

But will the caster go out most of the time? (w/ lowering it more than 1.5")? And if so, how do I fix that?

GREAT looking stang man That is pretty much exactly how I want my stang to look, with that slight raked look.

So, you did not need cc plates or alignment? I plan on going with 18x10/18x9 with 275(+?)/35/18.....do you think that those will fill in that tiny bit of wheel gap on your car?(NOT saying that it doesn't look amazing, just I might want to go a little lower)

I am taking an educated guess , but the 18x10 should fit no problem.
I do wish my car was about 1 half of an inch lower, but I dont want to
create any issue with harsher ride quality, or spending any more $$$$
Oh yeah , when I took that pic I had an empty gas tank.....
When its full the raked look goes away, it looks even.

I got ya, still looks great But if I did want that "raked" look, couldn't I just add some polyurethane(sp?) spacers in the rear to raise it up a bit?

You need to get it aligned no matter what. As said CC plates arent needed below 1.5" but alignment is! You should technically even get it aligned when switching to a wider tire out front!

I strongly recommend that you get CC plates..... ESPECIALLY if you have ever hit anything. Your alignment tech will love you for it. CC plates will give him a wider range of adjustment. Might as well and go ahead and do it while you have the car in pieces. I have 4 bolt UPR CC plates waiting to go in but wish I had spent the $$$ and got the MM ones.

You would only see maybe 1 eighth inch difference in the poly isolators
over the factory isolators. You would be better off to remove the front
isolators ..... not something I would consider.

i do alignments for a living and i ONLY recomend MM plates.

i would get them with ANY lowering spring. without the plates i may be able to get your car in the VERY wide spec range (-1.2 to -0.2) but with the plates i can get it DEAD ON where i want it to be. not all alignments are equal!!

after you get yours done post up the specs they give you and i'll let you know if they are ok.
