Well, I drive a 98 gt vert (auto *tear) with a 4 point rollbar in the back. I am going to take my backseat out, but I dont really feel like dropping 150 on a rear seat delete. I am planning on making my own within the next few weeks, but I am unsure on what material I should use. I need something that doesnt weight a lot, but is durable, because my trunk is kinda, well, "in use," (one 12", 2 amps, 1 cap) and I will be using the backseat as my mini trunk. If anyone has any ideas on what materials to use, let me know, thanks a bunch.

I have not done the rear seat delete. How about cutting a sheet of plywood to the shape you want for the backrest and the part you sit on. And then go to fabric store find a leather or similar material in a similar color to the interior of your car. Spread it on one side with about 5 extra inches around the edges. take the extra part and staple it with a staple gun to the back. "You can learn something new everyday on ask Martha." :D What do you think?

I made my own last year. I posted a bunch of info on it. Search here (Slider) and over at Coral.net (SliderGT) for it. I am not sure which palce I posted it.

I used peg board for the back and 1/4" plywood for the bottom. My back still folds down, and I made it so the bottom lifts up so I have extra storage under the seat.
