Does this look like a fenderwell kit?

I know that CAI won't do much more than dress-up an engine bay in most situations. I was curious if this would fit the bill for a fenderwell mounted CAI:

Is there much difference between it and the much more expensive ones out there? I just need the tubing from MAF into the fender and the filter. What do you think? Eventually I'm going for a lot of black powdercoating in my engine bay which is why I'm interested in it.

A 3" pipe would be pretty ridiculous, I thought that was the thickness of the filter?

Your C&L meter will not like the filter in the fender, if you switch to a Pro-M you'll have no issues. I found a stock airbox worked best with the C&L meters...

I'm really beginning to hate my C&L meter. I'm losing confidence in its design on a daily basis.

Rick have you ever seen the PRO-M meters become fussy with the standard mac style fendermount meters?

I have a Pro-M and its working fine with my UPR CAI for now. I heard if you are running into any issues you can rotate the MAF to change how the meter reads the air coming in.

I've had slight issues with the 75mm when using a 24# inj, other then that no issues at all. I like the 80mm however...

Pretty much what I figured..the 75 bullet is a nice meter in my limited experence with the stock box and 24 pound injectors. I was offered a mac cai at not much more than the price of a large pizza but turned it down not wanting to mess with a combo that was happy 'as is'. Thanks for your time Rick.
