I just brought my 302 block out of an 88 mustang to the machine shop to get work done. I thought the block was stock but they told me it has been bored to 40 over. This is good in some ways but last race season it ran a 14.7 . It was completly stock other than it beein bored out and exhast. Does this sound right to any of you?

yeah, boring doesnt really give u any power...i believe that makes the motor a 308. everyone goes crazy when they hear 306 or 308 but its the same thing as a 302, maybe a few HP difference. would that make his pistons 308s? or they are 306 pistons with bigger rings??
