Is it ok to run drag radials on a daily driver as your regular tires??? I won't make it to the drag strip that often, but my factory tires start to break loose at about 1800rpms when I am staging. What do you think the stickiest set of regular tires would be? Is there something in between the performance of a drag radial and a regular street tire? I'm just trying to think of ways to drop my 60' time and get myself into the powerband without the expense / hassle of a higher stall converter.

I dont recommend it as you cant drive the car in the rain. I mount my DR's on different wheels for when I want to play.

Stickiets set of street tires would be the BFG G-Force KD, but it comes at a cost.

my kd's hook pretty good but they are not match for my s/c. i like the M/T street et radials they dont spin much at all!

Drag radial are great at the track but they have a realy soft compound and they will wear down very quickly if you drive them everyday, Not to mention they are not fun when its wet outside, Get a seperate tire fro your DD needs, trya wider tire with a softer compound thats still a street tire, not just DOT approved.

I use nittos as a dd tire. It rains here, but I just drop the speed as needed. They are cheap and can reporteedly get about 10-15k out of them depending on use. Otherwise, bfg/kd's, kuhmo/mx's, mt/streets, falken/azenis, and a couple of others.

I have nitto DR's and I drive my car in the rain with ZERO issues. If you dont know how to drive it could be a problem,... but keep from stabbing the throttle like a madman and you'll be fine.

I run Nitto 315 DR's on my dd and have very little problems in the rain. you just ahve to watch out for puddles on the highway but other than that they work great. And for reference, I drive about 300 miles a week on both intown and highway use.
