Draw.....any one else.???????

After the stall went in we took a few minutes to search for the draw that I have....Justin and I both have a significant one....I found that I have a 12 amp draw........we pulled the fuses and the problem child is the 50 amp headlight fuse on the driver's fender......we removed the fuse....draw goes down to .08....so I know that is my problem but I don't feel like searching endessly for a short......anyone else ever had this particular draw problem....from the headlights.......

do you have anything running off the headlight circuit? And alarm system by chance? Try disconnecting your headlight switch with the fuse still in and see if the draw goes down.

If someone could post a wiring diagram for the fuse block, we can isolate everything wired to that circuit. Then unplug one at a time until you find it.

Start with the headlights and fog lights first, since they are obviously wired to that circuit.

When I bought the car it had a car start and remote.....the parking lights come on while it is running....I told my "mechanic" that helps try and teach me things that if it wasn't the amp, I would guess it would be the car start because it has had the draw since I bought it, before the HCI install.....

I know this may suck ... but at least you found the problem by pulling the fuses, lol. I'm still having a time with mine.


Eventually, when I go pro like some of the others on here, I'll be doing some wire clean up and hiding while fixing up my engine bay. When I do that, all wiring that looks even remotely like it could cause a problem in the future .... it will be replaced.

Yeah Justin, I thought about your problem today when I was searching for mine.....narrowed it down to what circuit.....only took a year ....

If you feel like it, try pulling fuses 16, 15 and 1 (with your 50 amp fuse installed). See if the draw goes away when one of those three fuses are pulled. That would help narrow it down (along the lines of what Scott was saying).

Thanks JT, I wrote those three down and will pull them and leave the 50 installed........but not this weekend.gonna play with the new stall...
