I'm trying to figure out what went wrong here.

A friend of mine/mechanic was putting together the rest of my dss331 pro-bullet at a good rate for me because I bought the motor off of him. He finished up the motor for me and recommended I see a certified mechanic to do the electrical work, timing, etc. He didn't want to risk having something detonate because he wasn't positive of what he was doing when it came to electronics and computers(sounded fair)

I brought it to a Sunoco service center where I used to work at. The owner drag races and has been building motors for years. Currently he races a tubbed 68 nova that does 9/10's.

I bring it to him to put on the finishing touches and to get the thing timed. He tells me the "dipstick tube was never put in" I call the first guy and he saids "o yeah tell him hes just gotta bend it and it'll slide in" I go to the DSS website and send the Sunoco guy .pdf directions for the dipstick tube install. Basically he said the directions make it seem you have to take the oil pan off, and pretty much bend the tube almost backwards and place it in.

I follow up with DSS and they said the oil pan has to come off and they never really heard of someone being able to slide the tube in on their 331 stroker. It would be extremely hard.

Basically I'm pretty positive the first guy screwed up and forgot to put the tube in. He tried telling me you don't even need the dipstick/tube. (are you freaking kidding me??? This is a street/strip car of course ill need it) and as long as I can read the oil pressure I'll be fine (uhh I'm sure that's all I need) So my old boss had to take the damn thign apart to get to the oil pan and place the adjusted tube in. ended up costing an extra penny and fighting with the first guy.

So is it possible to get the Tube in after the stroker motor is completed?
