Tried the pre-blower and it (quenched) torque took a nose dive so only went with one nozzle...

Just clarifying stuff

Wait, What? Which nozzle did you use and where was it placed?

Hi
Edit: We dynoed with only the one existing nozzle in supercharger, then added the second while on the dyno. Then redynoed.
Sorry about the confusion.... tried to use 2 nozzles but HP/torque rolled off, so we disconnected the pre-blower nozzle. The snow rep (Michael Plummer) wasn't a big fan of it, but I wanted to try it!!
I only used the snow nozzle going into the supercharger bung!!

Here is the graph, added 2 degrees timing and lost power.

Hope that helps.. Steve

Awesome man. I can't believe how much power it picked up with that intake. That's a good reference to keep online here for other people asking about intakes.

Yes, have a multiple tune chip ? 0 is no meth, 1 is meth, 2 is valet .. 3k rev limiter... will never use it but what the heck

I had 543 rwhp last tuneup..... 43hp non meth increase..... I like it!!! $500 for intake, $220 for T/B That is about $18. a HP , Plus tune and a couple things... still good bang for the buck!!

Yeah I am not a big fan of the pre blower nozzle either..

Nice gains, and I still think there is more in it with the meth. Was MP helping you tune?

Isn't that the truth. I got greedy with my stock block and Vortech S-Trim a few years ago. Changed to a 2.95 pulley hoping for a solid 10psi, well I got 14psi on the gauge and got out of it quickly, too late, was changing head gaskets the next day. Should have done it the right way. Pop's did it right. Good work, great numbers.

I can't understand why so many have problems with high boost. I was running 15 psi (tuned of course) and I beat on mine every single day without an issue even when it was 100* outside! I guess it really is all in the tune.

I understand... Blew up mine in Nov. '09, then rebuilt it stoutly. Mostly my own fault, my son tried to tell me to buy a dart block in '04 when I built the stroker. Of course it was built n/a so the compression was high when I put the Vortech on it!!

That all goes with having a plan..

Mine lived to 5 years with a high compression stock block with 12 psi, over 500rwhp. Til I took it to the track and with the clutch slipping kept my foot in it!! Might still be alive if I hadn't gotten stupid!!

That's the stupid we all do. We wouldn't ever learn anything if we didn't do things like that.
