Easiest way to swap AODE for a T-5

I know there are a thousand threads about this swap. Im not looking for any how to info. Just the best way to get all the parts needed.

I see AMP has a full swap for about $1300. Did you guys do a junk yard swap? Who has bought a conversion kit?

I have PI converter that I plan on sending back to get refreshed then selling that so I wont have much money into it. I just cant fathom spending another $2k right now for a Built C4 swap.

I got the kit from them, it came with every nut and bolt needed, computer, drvieshaft , etc... everything.

No problems at all, put in in about 2 years ago, a couple of months after the motor swap.

I just pieced everything together. I bought parts from 50resto.com... ebay... and some people on Corral.net

It came out to about $1300 with a new flywheel, king cobra clutch, pedal assembly, adjustable cable and quadrant, used T5 trans with 40k miles, T4M0 computer, and some of the other small stuff. A lot of the parts I got were new though. I'm not sure if that AMP kit has a lot of used parts or new parts.

The Amp kit does not come with the T4M0 that it needs. It also has no clutch and a used tranny. Hopefully the tranny has all good synchros. It also does not come with the shifter boot or lower trans hump gasket.

This seems to be missing alot. I would rather piece everything together and get a good trans and a machined flywheel with a good.

I did a swap a few years ago on a vert and I don't exactly know how much I spent because the tranny was for a 93- and I had a 95 so I had to buy a 93 bell and have my DS extended. I also bought an aluminum cable quadrent and a B&M ripper shifter and B&M billit shift ball. I never did swap the wiring I just installed the reverse lights and left the auto wiring ziptied underneath. I also had to find the T4M0 computer because the auto computer caused overheating in the computer. It was not an overnight project for me so make sure you have all the parts you NEED before you start the install.

I just converted mine about a month ago. I purchased everything off Ebay except the clutch kit.

I spent about about $700.00 to $800.00 on everything.

the 1300$ swap kit is a used T5 not rebuilt, 1800$ for rebuilt t5 and 2050$ for new t5

i cant remember if i got mine from them used or rebuilt, but i can tell you that 3 years later, the tranny is still alive and well. this is with the abuse of a 100hp zex kit, a powerdyne blower at 9psi, and now a vortech at 8psi. my point is, the transmissions they sell are definitely not in bad shape.

you said you spent 2000$ on it, thats probably the new t5 as that kit is 2050$

i got my swap from a company that deals with all junkers. they had every thing from the bolts to the wire ties. came with a brand new Ram clutch. i can't think of the company off the top of my head. the whole kit ended up costing like 1500 i think. this was like 2-3 years ago now.

think harder haha, that would really help... thats a good price for a complete kit with new clutch...

the transmission was definitely not new.....honestly i remember more along the lines of $1700 or so that i paid so it was probably a rebuilt unit.....
