What do you all think of the switch? Im considering, going with an edelbrock performance package. Heads, cam, manifold and carb. I was told buy a couple of guys that i would see nice power gains.
OK thanks. Next question, the other route i can take, is heads, cam, EFI intake and manifold, and a mass air conversion. Does that sound right? I priced all the parts from edelbrock(performer series), except the mass air which is from ford racing. Or do you recommend other brands?vristang said:![]()

You will loose any chance of passing emissions.
Carb won't make more power than efi, if both are tuned properly.
Also, efi will be more driveable for the same power as a carb.
At the same power level you will see less fuel economy with a carb.
EFI can provide a very good combo, which is why no auto manufacturer uses carbs.
My opinion.
Don't waste your time and money.

Thanks, do they sell it in a package? Should i go for the mass air also, everyone is sayin yes. would the hp numbers be much different for a stock 302?Spot U 2 said:Trickflow makes a nice setup. Heads, cam, Roller rockers, pushrods, intake, and vavle covers for around $2100 street heat, or $2200 track heat.
Makes about 360hp on a 9.5/1 306.
where can i order it?Spot U 2 said:Yes, it comes as a package. Yes you should go mass air. The hp might drop slightly. Not to much diff on a 302 to 306.
Summit has them.stang730 said:where can i order it?
You are right sir but inorder to make the same power with a efi as apossed to a carb its going to cost more.vristang said:![]()
