I am trying to decide what to do with my motor. Its a 40k mile short block out of an explorer. Should I just re-ring it and replace all the bearings or replace the pistons too? The cylinder walls look good in the motor. I dont plan on a supercharger or nitrous so I want to use just hypereutectic pistons. Should I go with stock replacement?

I have a few more questions:

1) I am changing the cam in the car, I am buying new lifters and pushrods, is it ok to re-use the stock rocker arms? They are off of the 40k mile shortblock. I dont want to drop the $250 on new roller rockers yet if its not absolutley neccessary.

2) Will the GT40P heads just bolt on and use the same valvetrain parts as the E7's? I know about the difference in plugs and headers. Do all the accessories like alternator brackets and stuff bolt back up?

Thanks for the help guys. Im new to Mustangs and this is my first one and first ever buildup of an engine.
