If I get a late model 5.0 or 5.8 injected engine , can I just change the intake to switch to a carburator or is there a difference in the heads??? Thanks

Pretty much. You need to also plug up two holes in the head for the smog pump along. You will also need to change the distributor because it is a dura-spark system or do the dura-spark conversion to your car.
