Build Thread Enola- Finishing touches

Going to be the same position. The upstream Tb is 75mm vs the 65mm on the plenum.... may become an issue at higher rpm.... maybe. The TV cable I was going to use won't work... figures. Now I need to find a throttle cable to make work.

As of right now I am ordering a new throttle cable AGAIN! Sat was my b day and my wife drove me down too the local speed shop where we picked up my cable. Well in my hurried dumbassed-ness I didn't tie it up away from the exhaust...... nuthin like throwing 60$ out the window.:bang::fuss:

Nice vid man. The car sounds real nice (love that SC whine). I have to say that the piping (and the setup in general) looks really good. You mentioned it but the throttle bodies slamming shut when you completely let go of the throttle is just choking your engine and making your SC unhappy. I think the idea you talked about with adding more air behind the second throttle body would improve both your idle and maybe ease the ramp down in rpm. If not then you could try the mechanic stop to keep one TB a little more open. The bypass fully collapsing probably doesn't help. I thought I read that you had switched it completely to a hard pipe...I must have misread. Anyway, it sucks you need a new cable but it's nice to see it running.

As far as that sound system...I've never really been into them but I can appreciate a nice system that makes your nuts jiggle.

It was fully hard piped..... then I added a tb and then I had to redo the feed pipe. It will get done again so it looks better. The SC wind down is so hard it actually threw the belt, I have to check for any other damage as well. I guess I will have to create a alternate airflow path so that does not happen again.

Damn. I hope nothing else got damaged. I'm sure you know this but what is happening is that the closed throttle bodies drop the flow and back pressure the sc. The hard whine down occurs because it's really loaded up. The bypass should help with this but it probably isn't doing much because it's collapsed. If a hard piped bypass doesn't help, you might need to add a bov to just get rid of the excess pressure when you let off the throttle instead of recirculating it.

Btw, you were right a bunch of posts ago about the bypass. I'm finally up to speed on the system. The bypass doesn't help idle, but it should help with surge. If its not working, it's possible it's not sized correctly for your application and a bov would work better.

I just like to build stuff. When I think I'm over my head I just step back and Google the shiz out of the situation. Once I understand how something should work it's just getting it done.
This is my first boost build, my second is in the shed it's a turbo 1.6

I hope to go on my first journey with boost later this year. I'll be going with a V3-Si kit though......little more "bolt-on" lol. Good luck
