Uuuhhhh.... mostly where my el-cheapo mig welder didn't do it's job. Little pin hole leaks across the weld joints, wouldn't be a problem but this has to hold a solid vacuum.Where did it leak ??? Is it somewhere sealant can't fix ?

Well there you go Jeeves,...seems two of us are having a better day.Today was fruitful, I realized that using the stock rails is going to suck. That said aftermarket rails with lines and a regulator will cost a large some of money that I don't have for the build..... this is problematic as once the injector bungs are welded in you can't change the angle... stock rails 15* aftermarket 0*.
I did get this much done.gonna need a cover plate of some kind.... almost lost the blower when the clamp on the bandsaw came loose. don't mind the clutter believe it or not I used all those tools to work on this project so far.... close up on the holes for the injector bungs. bypass installed it lines up well I drilled two 3/8 npt holes and tapped em out one is for the sensor in the pic the other will be a barb to feed the vacuum block.
I know it's still ugly but I will jb weld to my hearts content soon enough.

It's one of those things,...what you know, and what you are willing to do exceeds the capabilities and talent of the majority of what the average "car guy" is willing to learn/do.Maybe a thread title change will net some more traffic through here...... I feel like I'm talking to myself most of the time.
Even so it's not like what I'm doing is that crazy...... I think.... maybe.It's one of those things,...what you know, and what you are willing to do exceeds the capabilities and talent of the majority of what the average "car guy" is willing to learn/do.
It always killed me when I'd go to the track back in the day......a couple of my friends wondering out loud why I would want to get all greasy and dirty working on my own car...stating that I looked like I'd be happier working on a computer instead...
I'd tell I do this stuff because:
A. I can.
B. What I don't know, I'll do anyway.
C. I can't afford to, nor do I desire to pay anybody else to do it.
D. If there's no skin in the game,....It's not really my car...

My lack of a proper aluminum welder has done me in on this one. Once I get it sorted out it will look fine I believe. But hey can't bash a guy for trying. Appreciate the input.A lot of times this is in direct proportion to the availability/access to proper tools and equipment. If all a person has is a hacksaw, duct tape and JB weld the results will not look good, does not mean it wont work. A more efficient and visually appearing result can be had with above mentioned access/availability of equipment/tools and of course money.
I would, absolutely friggin try.And furthermore....I didn't consider rebuilding a 4R70w (having never done it before), drilling the case for a vacuum modulator, and modifying the valve body w/ all of the little balls, springs, pucks and related pistons
All that difficult either....
But lets have a show of hands.....Who here would do it?
