i was going to say 325hp off crank.

Saw your sig... you might try backing your timing down about 3-4 degrees. New modern heads (like the holley) have a much more efficient chamber than old iron heads, and they will make peak power with less timing. I was up around 40 myself, till I talked to the TF tech guy and he clued me in.... I backed it down to 34, and it woke the response in the mid range right up.

:nice:

Probably max.295rwhp if the cobra intake isn't ported. The condition of the bottom end of the engine also has an impact.

car only has 75000 original miles on it, so its a pretty solid bottom end even tho its stock....but also it is a 1991

how much do you think a machine shop would charge me to port it out?

Send a PM to TMOSS on this forum. He does them for about $110 + shipping. He has done many, many intakes for forum members. If anyone was ever not satified, I'm not aware of it. I have heard some shops get $250ish to do a lower. Best part about TMOSS is he won't just port an intake to take your money, if it isn't necessary for your combination. (which doesn't seem to apply to your situation). I believe it would be money well spent.

For AFR heads, the Cobra lower does need porting to flow with the heads.............

Yes, if I implied otherwise it was not my intent. You probably don't recall it, but I attempted to hire you to port a Cobra for bone stock E7s when I first bought my Stang. And you declined to waste my money. Which I appreciate.
