This stuff is truly amazing and IT WORKS!! Apparently, it was developed for use by the military and then was released to the general public once they saw how well it worked. I picked some up from a local auto store and it truly does what you see in the video on the page. It's safe on plastic, rubber, and vinyl. The best part is, aside from being biodegradeable and safe for skin and eyes, you can REUSE it! Once you're done, just pour it back into the container and use it again on some more rusted parts! I know, it sounds like I work for these guys, but I'm just supporting a great new product. Definitely worth checking out...

i dunked a vacuum solenoid that was completely stuck from 40 years of being in my cougar (see sig). After a day i pulled it out and it looked brand new, and wasnt seized up anymore.

You can only reuse it once or twice, though, ive found. And i had a little coffee filter recycling system to filter out the rust chunks left at the bottom of my container.

It does work though!

Yeah you can use it on anything. You can buy it in a 50 gallon drum to dip an engine block in haha. Lots of industrial companies use it, apparently.

Check out the before and after pics on the site.

it's safe on vinyl, nylon, rubber, and plastic, and won't eat metal no matter how long you leave it submerged... so worth a shot, huh?

under $20 for a gallon... pretty reasonable considering the price of sandblasting, and it doesn't damage parts like a sandblaster can if you use the wrong kind of media

they say you can soak paper towels in evapo-rust and place it drectly on the rusted suface, then cover it with plastic wrap to prevent rapid evporation, the rinse the rust off... worth a shot

Hmmm I could try that. I guess it can't hurt anything haha.

Thanks! Rust stalks all of us car guys like the grim reaper, so I figured we could all get some use out of a product like this.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. You can order it in industrial size drums. You could probably dip body panels and suspension parts and stuff if you had the motivation and money to do so.
