exhaust idea??

I just got my new MAC cat-back the other day and i got a great idea from it. Where the pipes dump over the axel and to where the the tips are is a seperate peice and i was wondering if anyone left the dumps over the axel without the tailpipes and if so if it sounded any diff. I got the 3 inch tips with it and i kinda wanna put those on though cuz they look sweet!

any comments would be nice

Mine are dumped just before the axle, and with the Dynomax SuperTurbos, it sounds quieter and less annoying than my old Flowmasters with full pipes. It actually sounds much deeper as well.

most people dump their exhaust before the axle and if you have the sweet three inch tips why not put them on?

i do plan on putting the tips on but i was just wondering if there really was a complete noticable diff.
