I thought you guys might enjoy this. Once its all finished up (more tuning left), it should be putting down around 260rwhp and 300ftlb. A guy over at rangerpowersports.com dynod at 290rwhp and 330ftlb through a manual, Im running an auto. The SOHC has a lot of potential with just stock internals. As you may know, Pro Charger has a kit out and Shelby will be putting a blower on their V6s, so my setup should last a while. I hope to see more forced induction V6s out there in the future, nobody expects much from them, but have the potential to run with the V8s with some work. Seeing as some of you are putting down 200+rwhp with just bolt ons, a blown S197 V6 should be awesome. Hood clearance might be an issue with a Lightning blower, but there isnt enough room in the late model Ranger engine bay for a centrifugal like the Pro Charger thats out for the Mustang. Just make sure your fuel delivery is there, I have a SVT Focus pump and 42# injectors (long story with why I went to such a heavy injector). I also have a home made water/alcohol injection system set up in the truck to help pre detonation issues, the SOHC is somewhat a high compression engine for blown applications.

For more serious power adders, check out www.supersixmotorsports.com. this may be old news to some, but Id like to see a quick V6 turn out.

Hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think.
