Really looks cool. Can't wait to see it painted.
You do realize that this thing is going to be plastered on the cover of every magazine from here to eternity, don't you? That black paint better lay reaaaaaaaalllll flat.
No, white paint. Flat black hood and tail section
I stand corrected. The thing is a work of art already as it sits. Keep the pics and progress coming man, I'm watching this one closely.
Thanks guys. That is one of my goals/fears.. It'd be great to finally get something I did even in the mag, much less the cover. But I'm afraid that the finish work might not be up to that standard. I'm gonna paint it myself, AND I'm probably gonna use... LACQUER
Too bad I live so far away...I would help you out on the paint job.
It's cool having steel instead of Urethane. W/ steel you can do stuff that in urethane might crack, warp, or just plain look like hell.
W/ steel you can do crazy *****.
No, they're not drier vents.
See I saw these exhaust tips in my head. Kind of keeping w/ a F117 vectored Exhaust, And while I'm not worried about trying to disguise my heat signature like the stealth fighter does, You wont be able to see the hole that the exhaust comes out of because of the 45 degree slats that obscure the view angle. So disguised from view despite the fact that they're in plain sight = ( STEALTH)
And while I would never even attempt cutting a urethane bumper cover, W/ steel, I got no problem.
Then are you ready for......
GLASSPACKS!
Yeah I know, but before everybody goes ape***** on how stupid that is, There is a reason for them.
I want to quiet the exhaust down, not make it louder.
See there's already welded chambered mufflers on there. I am done w/ the days of loud assed exhaust and drone. I could've just put a turbo muffler on there, but the chambered mufflers, and the glasspacks work together as a muffler and resonator.
I know, there are 4 mufflers, but I don't have cats and I think another been there done that part of owning a V-8 mustang is the fact that they all sound the same,.....except this one.
Obviously there is no trunk floor. I'm gonna put in a fuel cell so that I can use the rear fuel fill. I also wanted to do the exhaust tips where I did, and the stock tank was in the way.
So that part is done. I can move along, and not have to worry about laying on my back and getting the piss burned out of me welding and grinding like what happened today.
It's the small innovations like this that make the car so awesome! Please base/clear the car red with black hood and tail like you mentioned but with 69 mach 1 stripes down the side.
