Its been a long time coming but looks like it will be well worth the wait. First pic of the new motor. Has to go back to the body guy for a couple three days for wet sanding, buff, etc. but I should be driven her next weekend.

Then of course there's the break in period.............. Patience is a virtue, Patience is a virtue, Patience is a virtue................

Blah, a carb!

I have to admit, that really does clean up the engine bay. How about some pics of the rest of the car?

Heads are TF TW's

I only have a couple of crappy cell phone pics with the bumpers and hood off before the motor went in.

I'm on travel this week and I hope to pick the car up on Sat. I'll get some good pics with her pretty much done.

As for the blah carb....... I bought it that way. I was really looking for a notch when I found this. Guy had some good parts kinda slammed together but had moved out of state. Had a hard time trying to sell it with emissions issues.

Nothing against EFI I just love the clean look you mentioned.

After seeming it come together, I'm glad I didn't find a notch...

Thanks.

Love your car BTW. It's what pushed me over the edge to go wingless.

Thanks.

Original idea was a 60's something project (nightmare). Then as previously mentioned, looking for a fox (tough search). Was thinking carb all the way 'cause that's what I know.

My previous stable was
'72 Gran Torino GT fastback 351w
'70 Olds 442 vert
'71 Chevelle w/454
'67 Firebird w/327 Chevy 12.5 : 1 w/4.88 gear had to run Sunoco dial a 103 octane

Switched to crotch rockets and haven’t had any muscle since.

I suppose it's more of an overall philosophy than just a statement for this project.

Who doesn't want to go back to the day when a cop would give you a ride home instead of taking you to jail even when you deserved the latter?
