is the car tuned with a chip or programer? i'm guessing it is judging by your a/f curve.

if so where did you go or what did you use?

I use the Tweecer..

All the tuning was done by me, using resources like Stangnet, Corral, and the Tweecer forum... Plus I received great help from people like Grady (Final-5.0), and Donnie (SSKiller)... I've been pretty lucky so far, because most of the tweaks I've done have worked, but I guess proper planning, and research helped a little with that... Since I've had chips before.. and realized how expensive it can get having to go to a tuner for changes, and how hard it is to find a tuner that you can trust.. I just decided this was the best option for me...

how much was the porting and the cam?

"Here's the major parts...
Porting by Neil Erickson = $350
Milling 0.030"= $50
valvetrain = $275 with stainless valves
Custom cam = $300
Used Edel RPM intake (ebay) = $350 shipped

So.. for $1250-$1400.. you can get all the main parts..."

great numbers, I am hoping to get to a dyno again soon for my gt40/explorer/tfs1 combo "after sorting issues" numbers.

I have a question for you with the tweecer what timing are you running with it? I have a .060 shave (on non P gt40's) and should be around 10.5:1-11:1 comp. with the DSS shortblock, with semi-polished chambers I have been able to go to about 31-32* with the tweecer but am scared to go any higher.

I'm sitting at about 9.8-9.9:1 compression... 91 octane gas (yeah CA sucks for gas).. and I ran 32 total degrees for timing.. I used a modified version Darren Woodals tuning notes... and just lowered timing across the board.. (he used 36 degrees)... Also.. since this was a dyno day type event, with over 35-40 cars dynoing, I didn't have any time to play with the tunes... I just had my good base tune... and made two more with one having 5% less fuel and the other 5% more fuel... I got the most power with the 5% leaner mixture.. and but also hit 14:1 at the top... which got a little scary..

I was looking at DW thing too, and was just scared to hit 36 with iron heads and the comp. I am running. My last dyno was on a group day as well so I just checked my A/F to make sure I was getting what I commanded. I should be someplace in the same hp numbers as you since we have a sim. setup. You have me stoked about getting back to the dyno.

congrats on the combo/numbers :nice:
