Been a while since I’ve had any time to work on the Fox or even peruse the forums much. Lots of traveling and time focused on taking care of the baby.
My latest saga with the Fox is battery related…again. There have been a few times when I didn’t drive it (usually for about a week) and when I would go to start it, it wouldn’t turn over. A few weeks back, before heading out on a road trip, I disconnected the battery. When I came back, a couple of weeks later, I reconnected the battery and it started right up with no issues. More recently, we took another trip and I did the same thing. Came home after about 12 days, reconnected the battery and it started right up. Two days later, I went to start the car and it wouldn’t turn over.
The belts, brake, and amp lights will come on, as well as the warning lights to the right of the steering wheel (check oil, gas, low coolant, washer fluid) and the stereo, but the car just won’t start.
I bought this battery brand new a little over two years ago. I’ve got it on the trickle charger again at the moment, waiting for it to fully charge. Is it possible the battery is already bad? Or is there something that could be draining it every time it’s hooked up?
