OK so I am a poor Airman and need help maximizing bang for the buck. I want to keep my Mustang naturally aspirated till the warranty is gone (translation I can't afford a super or turbo charger and know nothing about nitrous other than I don't go to the track). So I have read that a CAI and Tuner are is the first thing that our ponies need. So who does the best CAI and Tuner package. I know the tune makes or brakes the whole deal and in some cases the car. I have seen a lot of this is the greatest intake but no one talks about the same intake kit with different tunes. So I pose the question, best tune & intake kit package on the market.
I was think about Part Shopper's DeMolet, JLT's kit, or the C&L - DIABLOSPORT - MOTOBLUE from RPM outlet.
Thank you in advance for everyone one who takes the time to read and answer this.:SNSign:

ill just say that many have had better experiences with the SCT, and i know several people who have purchased the diablosport, but later changed to a SCT.

(SCT especially if you have an automatic transmission.)

I had SCT and later changed to Diablosport. I would suggest gears, tune, CAI, pullies, mufflers, and drag radials if you plan on track time. Use whatever tuner your local speed shop offers. That way when you have an issue, you will have local support.

I was once an Airman at Andrews AFB and the CAI I went with was from Airaid. Check out their site, Airaid.com, i've been pleased with both the product and customer service. It gives you two ways to go, without a tune or with a tune. mitch e

Most CAI kits and a tuner from either SCT or Predator are about the best bang for the buck. They will make a world of difference in your car.

Something to consider is the Ford Racing "Power Pack". It comes as a package with what is probably a Steeda CAI, a canned tune in a Pro-Cal unit, axle-back (mufflers) and a Ford Racing oil filter (I guess it couldn't hurt).
Check it out at www.fordracingparts.com. I had different stuff on my car before I saw this advertised or I might have gone with it myself.

Yes, FRPP. Powepack FR1, is Steeda's CAI, Steeda is also Ford's aftermarket manufacturer who participate's directly with Ford, in its technology transfer program, with custom and performance parts makers. The EO order is for what they call, their pro calibration tool, which means that its only calibrated for premium fuel, CAI, axle back mufflers and Ford Racing Oil Filter.. it doesn't function in the same way as an SCT X CAL or Diablosport Predator that actually re-flashes you're PCM, so if you're looking for an actual all out, performance or custom tune, then you'll need to go with either the SCT X CAL 2 or the Diablosport Predator. Steeda does have a combo, for their CAI and tuner.. check out www.steeda.com and give Jason a call..

JTI, JTI, JTI!

I have read my threads to include my own and agree with just about every one else out there. My first mod is going to be a CAI and a tune from non-other than our very own Part Shopper. I am going with the Tunable induction system for many reasons (carbon fiber is always a plus, plastic will not absorb heat the way metal will, it will cool down faster, great craftsmanship, customer service! just to name a few). Next up some lower control arms to help with that damn rear wheel Seizure that happens every time I let my pony stretch her legs a little :Track:. So on to the many different kinds and makes to find out who makes what better and why.
P.S. Any help in getting started here would be great!

Some more great help from STANGNET!

Thanks , just went over all the products and the 05 they are building. Everything looks great and just as important, everything is priced right! I owe stangnet another one. Part Shopper needs to start carrying BMR products now! :SNSign:
Side thought, which is harder on the wallet a wife or a beloved Mustang? Or is it beloved wife or a Mustang, either way.
