Hey everyone.. I was reading an earlier post about FMX vs C4 transmissions and have a few questions. First off I have a 69 Mach1 that is getting a serious facelift. The 351W is getting an edlebrock performer rebuild but I don't know what to do about the trans. It is an FMX but i was considering tossing in an AOD or maybe going to a T5. The post I read earlier mentioned that the FMX is not all that bad of a trans. If I do stay with the FMX where can I find parts and/or do I need to do anything to it if it is sitting behind about 350Hp engine? Thanks...
Trust me when I say this: EVERY C-4 I've ever had left ME on the side of the road. If you're gonna upgrade from an FMX get a C-6. Sure you may loose a few ponies, but at least it won't leave you stranded. I'd keep the FMX if you can get parts for it though.
