For those of you spraying your 99 or 01 Cobras...

How much are you spraying, what kit, wet or dry, have you had a n2o tune done, what other mods do you have, and how long have you sprayed it and how much spray do you go through in any given time?

I am going to be spraying 125 to mine with an NX Wet Kit and my other mods are listed on my Cardomain page. I'm wondering if paying $650.00 for an n2o tune is even worth it.

Feedback, opinions???

Thanks in advance.

never got a chance to spray mine or even hook up the kit but I had a nx wet kit for my 99 cobra. I have heard you really only want to do 100 shot. anything more than that and you defiantly want a tune. heck with only a little juice you would probably want a tune just to be safe. dont know why it would cost you that much though.

The cost includes a SuperChip, tune, and dyno time....it's about average if you call around....plus you are getting a tune from one of the best. Plus it's a flip chip and he will tune both your n/a and nitrous set ups.

Just do it....why risk frying a piston or two? THAT will cost you some money.

Thanks Chuck. I had no idea that the tune was done with a flip chip. I knew the chip was included, I just didn't know that I'd be getting a dual tune. That's pretty nice. My car runs strongs as hell as is on the motor and bolt-ons alone, and I was a bit worried about sacrificing that on non n2o runs. That bit of info does help me quite a bit. I am leaning towards the tune, but I'd still like to run it a bit without the tune. I'll just wait till I have the money for the tune to spray.

Thanks again.

Ya, another guy I hang out with had a GT with a 100 shot of nitrous. He had Lid do the tune. Basically, as long as the bottle was on all he had to do was arm it and he was ready to go. To arm it he had a little switch by the shifter to flip.

He could flip it while driving too which was nice. His was an automatic so he had no RPM activator (not that I know of).

Anyway, I strongly recommend it.
Good luck.

P.S. It feels good to be done spending money on my car for awhile. It's a lot easier to spend YOUR money now. :D
