I had an 04 GT through junior year and senior year. The lower classmen weren't allowed to park on school grounds because of limited space - not that freshmen were old enough to drive anyway.
No one picked on me or praised me, because that's about where I was on the ladder - in the middle. By the time I was a senior there were kids with 07 Audi A4s, E46 BMW M3s, Range Rover Sports, 03-04 Mach1s, and there was a Terminator. Then there were a handful of 4 cyl econoboxes as well as lifted trucks that don't have a grain of sand on'em, like the one guy above mentioned. What's funnier though, is that a Mini Cooper won best car on the senior superlatives. It's a mere popularity contest is what it is.

A guy goes to the psychiatrist only wearing shorts made of Glad wrap.

The psychiatrist says, "Well, I can clearly see you're nuts."

hey hey hey now i didnt say i would take the thing and leave it as is, im just saying the paint job is clean just needs some work to make it look decent again, im even diggin the spoiler cause im gonna have the same one (functional for road racing so get off my nuts)

dont you start worrying about what other people think. i drove mine all through high school with my stupid turbines. people knew it was pretty quick. i beat up on hondas, and had just about the fastest mustang in school. only faster people were the turbo honda kids and the ones with sti's and such.

I drove a Mustang to high school. Supercharged it my senior year, won best car and got a picture of it in the year book. I never got made fun of. But there was 11 or 12 Mustangs in the parking lot and I owned 2 of them. An 88 GT, which I still have and an 89 four cyl. first car, real nice, shouldve kept it. Kids in our school love mustangs and I owned the nicest one and the only Fox GT. The real fun started in college though. Looking back high school wasnt **** and the only reason people laugh is because they dont have anything themselves. I have a custom chopper and people have stuff to say about that, they dont even own a bike.

same thing for my school, most modded car was given to a dude with an 00 civic si with coils, shocks, cai, and catback.

my friends 96 at that point had atleast 8 grand or so in restoration work in it, and he justbought a car that was in my highschool owned by anohter guy. an integra gsr that pushed 8psi and made over 300 hp. so a more modded car was a bolt on civic rather than a turbo integra, with remote start, a system, racing seats, suspension, brakes, wheels and all kindsa other crap. haha. oh well.
