Hey guys first post here, been having this horrendous whining noise coming from my engine for two years now and I can’t figure out what it is. It’s not coming from anything on the accessory belt drive have disconnected the belt same noise replaced distributor and oil pump still there. Please somebody give me a clue what this could be so I can get fixed i’ve included video
Thanks -Matt

Throw out bearing was just replaced with brand new clutch and rebuilt transmission. Just for kicks I even disconnected the clutch fork and pulled the bearing off the clutch same noise

I had a car do that.... disconnect the hose on the valve cover.

The house was pulling a vacuum on the crankcase. It made a rediculous whining noise. Disconnected that hose and the noise stopped. Used on of those little breather filters....problem solved.

I was going to ask what kind of throttle body your running because I know BBK can whistle
but that's usually at idle. If I'm hearing it correctly sounds like the mystery noise continues with rpm,
just a thought.

Been there done that with a BBC..... The fix was to put a breather in the other valve cover without the PCV valve....
