I have a 1990 mustang that I’m 5.0 swapping, took all the parts off a 93 convertible, there’s a few different plugs that are different behind the dash, one looks like a relay connected to a white computer behind the head unit (pic one) I think the relays are different and I misplaced the correct one, also there was a relay (pic 2) on the driver foot well from the 93 upper dash harness that is not there on the 90 harness, not sure what it is for or if I can run without it, I’m also using the 90 floor to trunk harness that has the fuel pump relay under the driver seat but the 93 engine harness has it in the engine bay, is it ok to just run both of them?

So to do what you are doing you really need the ECU harness, dash harness and the body harness from the 93 to go into the 90 to make it plug and play. Can it be done? Yes but you will need the wiring diagrams for the 1990 car. I can send you the full wiring schematics for the 93 as I bought them for mine years ago. Just PM me your email address.

It came from a convertible so the body harness is different but I have the exit harness and dash harness installed from the 93, I found a relay that was the right pin locations just a bit bigger so the slotted end of the plug fit and it seems ok, everything else plugged right in, I only have 2 wires left on the steering column that I think I heard was for something in the aod trans but I swapped to a t5
