Hey guys, i noticed this today when a friend asked what's that noise...and i said the injectors..he said he doesn't hear his (2000 maxima)...?!?!?
I got a 95 4.6 V8 thunderbird, and i got this car 2 years ago at 120K now she's got 135K...and the sound was always the same, you open the hood and you can hear the ticking from 3 feet away. You can also hear it in the cabin accelerating. It comes more dominant from the driver side, but that can be cause the passenger side has part of my intake over it-maybe blocking the sound.
Sounds like tic tic tic tic and gets faster ofcoarse at wot. I find it funny cause i really never heard this on other car, like his maxima, my buddy's 91 5.0 tbird, my moms ford escort etc...? And they're all fuel injected.
