I bought a 94 cobra a while ago, and the gauges are all messed up. The tac and speedo seem to work fine. But the battery, oil level, temp, and gas gauge all seem to be irregular. I want to take my car on the track (high performance driving 15 - 20 minute sesions) and i wont without being able to monitor the engine temp. I could buy an aftermarket temp gauge for $80 or so. I dont see many cobra clusters around, except on ebay and stuff for $300. But i was wondering if an aftermarket gauge cluster from a 94-95 mustang GT would work in the cobra? I hate to do it because the white cobra gauges are sweet and most aftermarket ones look like you got them out of a crackerjack box. or would a set of engine temp / oil level gauges mounted on the pillar work just fine? And one last question, is it easy to install the gauges on the pillar?
