G'day from Australia...

G'day,
I've just joined the forum.
Looks like there is alot of cool rides on here:nice:

Just bought myself another ride.
It's an 88' GT converted to right hand drive.
Anyone out there got similar?

Got some ally heads, roller rockers, and sourcing a new intake for it.
But was wondering what the best option is for supercharging?

Vortech, Kenne Bell, Procharger etc.

What you guys think...

Cheers,
Dan

Wow, nice set of cars you have there.

The superchargers choice I think mainly depends on what you want more. Better top-end, torque for street driving, and things of that nature.

I don't know much about the different types but I know alot of people on here do, and will most likely chime in.

Hey welcome!

I see that you being down under would appreciate the fact that I just woke up this morning to find that it is -45 degrees Celsius with the windchill (know idea what farenheit would be probably -45?), my van under two feet of snow and my furnace not working! Skin freezes in less than a minute...........

How warm is there? Willing to trade houses for awhile?

sweet sunbeam!!! i want one bad! my vortech seems to be nice. id go with either a vortech or procharger personally. cant really lose with either. both have had their share of problems. its seems like whe it comes to centrifugal chargers, people like one or the other.

Welcome to the site! Great looking group of cars you have there! What is the second car you posted a pic of?
Anyway this is a great place to get info on your ride and to just hang out and shoot the BS with others :nice:

As far a S/C it really is personal prefrence. A KB will make your engine feel like a big block. Lots of low end grunt and a very sweet sound at WOT  A centri will give you the ability for a higher HP number but just isnt as fun IMO to drive around since it takes a second for the S/C to "spool" up. Dont get me wrong, a Vortech or Novi is a super kick ass piece but a positive displacment S/C is just so much more fun on the street!

nothing like pulling on a built turbo civic froma roll though and seeing their face:D

welcome to stangnet! thanks for mel gibson and russel crowe :rlaugh:

just kidding... it looks like you have a garage full of beautiful cars... is that converted GT a manual trans?? i can't imagine shifting with my left hand... more pics!

Chris :nice:

Australia is that ****! I went about 6 years ago and it was awesome. You guys have some of the sickest cars out there!! Gotta love the burnout contests too, whats the deal with those? I never really got a good explanation of them. Is it like a real motorsport? All I know is that every video I've seen kicks any burnout I've seen in person over here in the states.
Here's what Im talking about:
YouTube - Ford Falcon ute burnout

All I have to say is that I wish I lived in Austrailia!!!

+1 on the pics of the interior and engine bay. I'd love to see how they re did the firewall for the booster and steering shaft.

Thanks for the reply's and kind words guys!

To answer a few questions,...

Pics of the fox are coming, looks like I'm gonna have to get more posted.

I live in Adelaide, South Aust.

Today was 30 odd degrees celsius (86 fahrenheit) and not a cloud in the sky.
Think I got burnt.

The second car in post is a Ford Capri, it's 1970 circa, 331 stroked windsor, twin 4's, billet crank, afd heads, tubbed with 9", C4 big stall, good for 10's and a bit of weekend street cruising.
....I Love that car...

The Sunbeam Tiger is fast enough, 347, pro topline steel heads, dynoed at 428hp with a **** load of torque.
Was entered in Classic Adelaide Rally this year. Tarmac rally that goes through Adelaide hills over 5 days, no speed limit!

You can have Russ Crowe, he's a kiwi not an Aussie.

The fox is a 5 speed manual, It's funny you say that you can't imagine shifting with your left hand,.... I always thought when I had to shift with my right I was gonna open the door and jump out!:D

Oh,... and the burnouts,....
Like the saying goes down here... "put it in top gear you :taco:, there's not enough smoke!!":nice::nice:

Cheers,
Dan
