Going from 3.08s to 3.73, should I feel a big difference?

Like the title says, I'll be putting in some 3.73s soon and I was wondering what kind of improvements I should hope to see. I don't think the jump from 3.08s is that much, so I'm keeping my hopes very reserved  What are you're opinions on 4.10s? I hear that it wouldn't be very efficient for daily driving.

I'm gonna have to take the next step and suggest 4.10s. I've got the same trany you've got listed in your future plans, and with a 4.10 my car is an animal, and my engine is mostly stock.

Yeah I was thinking about that... How's the cruising RPM? I do a bit of highway driving. But yeah I can get the 3.73s right now and at a really good deal :nice: I can't wait!

i read on here a while ago that there is only a couple hundred rpms at highway speed between 3.73 and 4.10

I run about 2500 @ 65mph on 265/50/15s, which are shorter in height than stockers, so if you've got 17s it'll be a tad less. It just depends on what you want to do with your car....sometimes i miss being able to go 150mph, but the fun of going 0-60 quicker is more appealing to me, since you hardly ever get to use anything 70mph and up.

4.10's must be a killer in hwy mileage :(

I get 14-16 per gallon with a 650 double pumper carb, it just depends on how fast i go and how many imports i pass. In contrast, my '98 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 automatic gets a steady 16mph with a stock 3.55 gear.
