Ok on my way home from watching the game i got a flat tire. I was able to get the car home, but now i have a decision. The rims and tires i have on the car now are winter rims/tires. They were only supposed to get me a couple days of driving over the winter, but since its been so nice, i have been driving it the whole time i've been home from college.

I'm not going to have the car next winter so i don't really want to buy new tires. However, i dont want the car to sit and not move until the spring either. I could put the saleen rims back on, but i'm trying to protect them as much as possible.

So i guess my choices are to pony up money for new tires (if i'm going to get one, i'll get two and rotate them to the back) or put on the saleen rims and i guess not drive it until the spring.

Thoughts?

If you are selling your car or getting rid of your car
you should put your Saleen wheels on your car and
bite the bullet and put some decent new tires on your
car to make them last until then.

see if the tire is fixable before making a rash decision.

I'm not selling it until some point this summer, i was going to put the saleen rims back on in the spring, after all the snow is gone. My point was if i put the saleens on now, i dont want to drive the car and chance anything happening to them because of the snow. I guess i need to see if the tire on the bullitt rim can be salvaged.

My ride was up for inspection and I HAD to get new tires. Being totally broke, I was looking for the best deal I could find and not short change my car at the same time. In the end, I was looking at around 800 to put new tread on. After reflecting on it and window shopping on eBay, I realizied I could pick up wheels + tires for around the same price.

That's what I ended up doing. 750 + shipping for the wheels that came with a south Korean tire. Later this year when my wallet is a bit thicker, I'll consider the idea of picking up some other treads.

Since you have the bullitt rims (if all 4 match) put decent tires on them and sell
the car like that. Keep the Saleens for your next Stang or sell seperatly. You
wont get anything extra for selling the car with custom wheels , most buyers
would rather have the stock Bullitts.

Go to tires-easy.com and buy some Linglong's to throw on there. Road test them for everybody else here. There like $50 bucks each, (245/45) and about $50-60 for shipoping on all four. Those crafty Chinese are undercutting the Koreans in the cheap tire market!
