The UPS guy brought me some 17x9 chrome 03 cobra wheels today! On wednesday they're getting mounted to 235/45/17 bfgoodrich g-force sports and 275/40/17. Heres a few pics.

Those are gonna look sic with your car, although I think that a set of clear headlights would probably make a nice contrast with the wheels opposed to the smoked ones. Just my opinion..should look sweet though. You got the parts for a 5 lug conversion yet?

You will want to reconsider doing the 235's on the front, they look terrible on a 9" wheel. The rim will stick out and grind on any little curb you even get close too. Do a 255/40/17, you will like it much better, trust me. I can send you pics of my car with 255's on 9's and its barely wide enough, IMO. I love your car and have been waiting for you to get some rims, so I would hate to see you do the wrong ones.

I agree, 235s are way too small on a 9" wheel. When I had 17x9 cobra Rs on the front of my car I had 235s when I first got them. One particular cold morning the pressure in the tire got pretty low but since the wheel was quite a bit wider than the tire I couldn't tell. As I rounded a corner, not only did the tire go completely flat, it completely separate from the wheel and tore up the edge of my rim. I promtly bought 255s for it so that if I ever got a flat again the tire would stay seated to the wheel.

Like every one said, the 235's are going to be waaayyy to narrow. Did you already do 5 lug conversion, or are you doing that before you put the rims on?
Here's some pics of my BFG G-Sports, 255/40's up front an 275/40's out back

Yes, I know she looks like sheeeeit.
Your car is going to look so damn hot when you get them puppies on your car.

I love the rims but I agree, 235's are too small for a 9" wheel, id go with 255.

And are your old wheels 5lug?

no the 5-lug swap isn't done yet so that means my old wheels are 4-lug ... i have ranger right side axels and new drums waiting but i still need 94-95 spindles, rotors and hopefully pbr calipers

I've got 245/45/17 G force's on the front and 275's G-forces on the rear. Fit nice, but even on an 8.5 inch wheel I have they look a little small up front. Here is a couple pics...

245/45 up front... +1 for g-force sports... but i would take a look at the G-force KD and KDW... the KD is an asymmetrical and directional tire... very rare.... and the KDW has a sick tread design.. i'll post links for them
