Got the 15x10" Welds today PICS

Beautiful car. Those wheels really look mean. Do you run the skinnies on the street? Any problems. You just gave me a good idea. Maybe I should sell my Cobra R's and get another pair of Weld Draglites for my rear street tires and leave the skinnies on all the time.

These rims will be on the car at all times except on the track. I have some 26x8.5" ET drags on some 15x8" Pro Stars for traction. I leave the skinnies on all the time.

Just answered your question above. I keep the skinnies on all the time. It's enough of a hassle to switch two wheels on the back for the track, I don't want to have to swap four wheels! When I got the skinnies and bolted them up to the front, I haven't taken them off since! With the Pep Boys 165R15 tires on them, they should last a while. And for $25 each, who cares if they don't!

The 3.5" Pro Stars just didn't match my 17" Bullitts at all

Hey bro, that car looks badass, what springs are u running? I am running Eibach Sportlines, and i want the same size rims/tires that you have and i just want to know how it will fit, thanks man.

Steeda Sport springs in the rear and 4-cylinder Fox Mustang springs in the front. Drop in the front is probably between 1.5" and 1.75", and the Steedas drop about 1" in the rear. I have some rubbing issues on the front, but I have the X2 balljoints without the spacers. I think I'm going to put the spacers back in.

I don't know how it will fit with Sportlines, but if you're not rubbing now, you probably don't have to worry about it. Just keep in mind that the 15x10's with 295/50/15 tires are almost 1" in diameter larger and come out almost as far as the fender flare. There's actually about 1/2" less gap in the rear wheel as a result of the larger diameter tire. Just measure and make sure you have clearance for that if this is what you intend to get.

No, at that price, they're defintely not XPs. Note that you can do what everybody does and bypass the need for XPs (marketing gimmick, really) and just use the wheel spacers. The earlier applications, like my own, will require some grinding to the front calipers for clearance. When using spacers and skinnies, use the proper studs for safety purposes.

No, they're the regular Pro Stars. XP's will clear the brakes without a spacer, and are what Weld Racing will recommend, but they are not necessary. Regular Pro Stars will clear the brakes okay on the rear without a spacer, but require a 7/16" spacer to clear the stock front brakes.

The ABS and TC system look for wheel slippage (one wheel turning faster than the other). It allows up to a certain percent of difference before it will think that there is a loss in traction or problem with ABS. It checks the differences between all four wheels, and that means it checks the difference between front and rear. With larger tires/wheels in the rear than stock, it will see a discrepency between the rotation of the front and rear wheels. It will actually read that the rear tires are rotating slower, which will basically set off the ABS malfunction light and disable ABS. Traction control is inoperative if the ABS system is inoperative. The systems are tied together.

Fortunately, my ABS light has not gone off at all with this wheel/tire combination, even though the rear tires have an outer diameter of over an inch larger than the stock wheels and tires.

Bolt pattern for our cars is 5x4.5"
