GT-40 Heads, Good Buy?

I got a 92 Mustang 5.0 with the AOD trans. I currently make 176 RWHP and 246 lb ft of tourque. I only have full exhaust from the headers back and a 70mm TB. How much would these heads improve my HP? Will they bolt up to my stock upper and lower intake? The GT-40 alluminum turbo swirl heads are cheap and I can get them for about $600 new. How much more HP will I get?????? And torque???????

sounds like a good buy, but the stock intake is still gonna hold you back some. i think they bolt up, but dont quote me on that

They will bolt up, but your first restriction is the intake, so you probably won't notice much of an improvement untill you get the intake taken care of. Search for tmoss, he ports the lower for $80 and it will flow enough for you to make quite a bit more power.

After Tmoss ports your lower, and Thumper ports the heads, it'll run like a rape'd ape

With a good cam and intake you will pick up 40-50 flywheel horses. Heads alone about 15-20 flywheel.

Edit: Passing thought ... if you held up a couple of liquor stores you could buy some AFR165's j/k

You can get em right from ford with valves & springs for $780.00 http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=6654 I got a set & they were (Brand New)
